Mayor: Ralph Infante, Jr.

Responsibilities of the Mayor: Oversee all departments within the City of Niles and, along with City Council, discuss and pass legislation for the city. Represent the City of Niles on local, state, and national levels.

The position of Mayor: elected 4 year terms. Qualifications include being a U.S. citizen, Niles resident, and have a high school education. There is no age limit to run for mayor.

Biography
Mayor Ralph Infante graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1974. He started working at the age of 15 for Coates Car Care, and worked there from 1972 to 1974. After graduating from high school...MORE...

Accomplishments
2002 Robbins Ave. Project consisting of new sidewalks, curbs, storm sewers, new pavement, and a turning lane. Total project cost was $1.5 million. City only paid $300,000 of that.

2002 Neil St. Reconstruction project, consisting of curb, sidewalks, and driveway approaches. Total project cost $171.500. City's share $80,000.

1992 - Democrat of the Year Award from the Niles Men's Democrat Club

1994 - Award from the Niles Senior Citizen's for the Mayor's dedication to Niles Senior Citizens, and their Senior Citizen's Center.
