Niles Light dept maintains utility mains and infrastructure withing its city limits as well as supporting surrounding communities. This includes 16 Sub-Stations, over 3000 street lights. Buying and re-distributing over 285,000 Megawatts hours (285,000,000 Killowatt hours) of electricity to its customers.
Niles power began in 1895. Currently we are services by 2 separate 138kv (138,000 volts) circuits and also being one of AMP Ohio’s largest members.
